Ecological

The project aims to reduce wildlife damage which preserves and protects the environment and its habitants, while the electronically independent design ensures self-containment of all components.

Fire is prevented from spreading to the community to protect the inhabitants and their infrastructure. Lower fire burning also reduces pollution and climate change impacts on the earth.

Effectiveness

The entire system is fully monitored by humans who can manually control every aspect of the automated system if required. The communication system has a good speed transmission rate to ensure data is sent in a timely manner.

Sustainable

The self-sustaining nature of the project guarantees clean power generation and recycled water usage which produces zero carbon emission while in operation.

It is essential to normalize the usage of recycled materials for industrial projects, hence the promotion of ongoing material lifecycles is achieved by using recycled concrete for the construction of the water tower and pole, recycled PVC for all the pipework, as well as using recycled water to prefill the tower upon installation.

Adaptiveness

The entire design was made to be completely modular and flexible. Modularity is seen within the number of towers that can be changed as required, and flexibility within the parts chosen, tank sizes, and future implementations. This makes it ideal for various geographical locations and areas. 

Economic

Cultural

The initial costs are high which is the case with most self-sustaining systems, after these, the only costs would be maintenance and salaries for the workers. If the system is compared to one that uses energy and water from the grid, these costs are compensated for within a few years. All items used are locally sourced, hence reducing cost.

​Since the system is entirely self-sustaining, there will be no external power costs while running which makes it more financially beneficial in the long-term.

Engagement 

All materials and devices used are long-lasting hence increasing their affordability in the long run. The sensor covers a large area hence the entire range is monitored even if there are no water towers, making it safer, also it reduces the need for further monitoring systems for future purposes.

Educational

Jobs are created as the locals trained would be given a salary which they will be able to use to provide for their families, therefore increasing the financial stability of the city.

As this is a non-profit project, it will be funded by government subsidies, and partnerships between government and local suppliers. This will give the government a chance to support projects beneficial to the community, as well as helping local suppliers by providing them with business
